Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this research was to examine the impact of quality indicators of education on the reflective thinking of physical education teachers.

Methods: This study employs a quantitative and descriptive approach utilizing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to present and test a comprehensive theoretical model on this subject. Data were collected from physical education teachers in Tehran province using cluster sampling (n=384). Data analysis was conducted using SEM software (Smart PLSTM3).

Results: The results indicated that the SEM used provided a strong theoretical framework for investigating the influence of quality indicators of education on the reflective thinking of physical education teachers. Factors such as educational support services, teaching efficacy, and goal orientation were found to have a positive and significant impact on teachers' reflective thinking. It appears that improving programs and educational support services by managers and educational organizations is necessary to enhance teachers' reflective thinking.

Conclusion: Moreover, increasing teaching efficacy and focusing on goal orientation should also be considered fundamental aspects of teachers' professional development programs.
