Abstract
the present research was pursued in two general objectives. The first goal was to examine the suitability of Luftman's model as a model for measuring alignment maturity in sports federations of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the second goal was to modify or build a model for measuring alignment maturity that is specific to Iranian sports federations. The method of this mixed research is sequential exploratory, which was used to collect data from a semi-structured interview with experts and also a questionnaire for the employees of the federations. This questionnaire was designed and validated based on the variables known from the interview. For data analysis, thematic analysis, Delphi method and structural equations were used, and finally, after the initial model was modified, the final alignment maturity model was confirmed.
The results showed that among the 52 known indicators, 5 structures were related to Luftman's primary alignment maturity model. Structural equation modeling showed that Luftman's model does not have a suitable fit for measuring alignment maturity in Iranian sports federations. By implementing exploratory factor analysis, a model with 39 indicators and 4 constructs was built and the fit of this model was proved by confirmatory factor analysis. In this way, the constructs of "Technical issues and information technology", "Management and authority", "Organization, architecture and work processes" and "Communication, participation and mutual understanding" are the components of the maturity measurement model of the strategic alignment of information technology in Iranian sports federations.
