Presenting the Development Model of Riding Complexes With Emphasis on Recreational and Tourism Spaces Case Study: (Golestan, North Khorasan, Khuzestan, Tehran, Yazd Provinces)

Abstract

Purpose: The rapid progress of the tourism industry in recent years, the development and improvement of communication tools and facilities provided for traveling around the world from different directions, has caused the number of tourists to increase every day. Sports tourism is one of the most important types of tourism. Expanding a set of activities suitable to the conditions of the region, which guarantees the continuous presence of tourists, is a key element for the development of sports tourism and the impact of a sustainable economy.

Methods: The current research tries to investigate and present a model of development of riding complexes with emphasis on recreational and tourism spaces in Golestan, North Khorasan, Khuzestan, Tehran and Yazd provinces. This research has been done within the framework of constructivist-interpretive paradigm, qualitative methodology and grounded theory approach. Research participants, directors of departments and the General Directorate of Physical Education, heads and vice-heads of equestrian boards, director and deputy head of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism, trainers, agility riders and those in charge of horse competitions in Golestan, North Khorasan, Khuzestan. , Tehran, Yazd. Among them, using theoretical sampling, 19 people participated in the research. The techniques and tools of data collection were semi-structured interview technique and semi-structured interview checklist respectively.

At this stage, the data were analyzed through the coding method in three open, central and selective stages, and the findings, including 81 signs in open coding, were classified in the form of 13 concepts in axial coding.
