Abstract
Purpose:The present research has examined the relationship between strategic thinking skills and entrepreneurial behavior in sports federations of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Method In terms of purpose,it is applied,and in terms of implementation method, it is classified as descriptive-survey research.The statistical population of the present research consists of the entire personnel of sports federations(52 federations).Sampeling was done by stratified-random metod.That is,first,sports federations with twenty and more experts were divided into two classes (sport federations with team fields- sport federations in individual fields).Then,six team sports federations(football,volleyball,basketball,handball,Kabbadi and hockey);and,six individual sports federations (wresting, fencing, weight lifting, Wushu, karate and taekwondo),were selected at random.Ultimately information was collected of the 280 experts and personnel (including the president,vice president,director general,managers of committees,technical experts and office personnel)of federations.The Pisapia et al questionnaire(2011)and Leonidas and Wassillie(2007) entrepreneurship behaviors were used for data collection.The validity and reliability of the questionnaires were studied and verified.The data was analyzed by modeling the structural equations with emphasize on minimum partial squares,using Smart PLS3 software
Results:Data analysis showed positive and significant relationship between the strategic thinking skills,and entrepreneurship behavior in the sports federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran.In addition,the existence of the relationship between the components of strategic thinking skills (systemic thinking,thought of rethinking reflective thinking)with the entrepreneurship behavior in the sports federations of the Islamic Republic of Iran was confirmed
Conclusion:In order to increase innovation in the organization and create new opportunities,managers should take advantage of work flow,timely movement and coherent group methods in order to achieve organizational goals.
